Another step forward in the Black community has been taken by Angela Bassett. The talented actress was granted an award for Best Supporting Actress at tonight’s Golden Globes.
The win was for her role as Ramonda in Marvel’s ‘Black Panther 2’. This puts her as the first actor to win a major award for a Marvel movie.
Bassett’s long-standing career includes roles in many television series like ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘9-1-1’, and her role in the ‘Black Panther’ series has been her biggest role yet. Currently an upcoming film called ‘Damsel’ featuring Millie Bobby Brown is next in the works for the star.
Congratulations Angela!
