Former Denver Broncos Running Back Ronnie Hillman Dead at 31, Loses Battle with Cancer

It is with deep sadness that the sports world mourns the loss of former Denver Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman, who passed away at the age of 31 after an unfortunate and short battle with cancer. According to sources he was only diagnosed in August with a rare form of cancer.

Hillman had a big and successful career as a football player and is widely known for being the running back of the Broncos. During his time in Denver, he played a key role in the Broncos’ 2015 Super Bowl Championship win.  Over his career, he rushed for 863 yards and seven touchdowns in his four years with the Broncos. Hillman also was an important member of the Broncos’ special teams, returning 34 kicks for 763 yards and one touchdown. He also caught 41 passes for 384 yards and two scores during his time in Denver. Hillman made his mark on the franchise and will be remembered as an important part of their championship run.
