According to police, the artist was stabbed in the early morning hours near the waterfront in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and died as a result of his injuries. Investigators did not identify the victim as the Guilt By Association rapper, but his brother, Pete Stay, confirmed the death to CBC news. Untimely demise: Pat Stay, a 36-year-old rapper, has died. The artist was stabbed to death early Sunday morning near the waterfront in Halifax, Nova Scotia. No suspect has been apprehended, and police say they have no idea why the murder occurred.

Pat Stay was 36 years old. The hip-hop artist rose to prominence through his live battle raps, in which two artists frequently freestyle while exchanging boasts, insults, and wordplay. Prescient: On Thursday, the Save Me rapper posted this photo on Instagram alongside the now-obviously prophetic caption, “Imagine if we treated all of our friends and loved ones as if we knew their days were numbered.’

According to a video posted on his Instagram stories, the rapper was in Halifax to attend the wedding of some friends who met at the rapper’s apartment.  Pat posted the video for his new (The Game DISS) Pat Stay feat. Kaleb Simmonds – ‘Warm up,’ on Instagram on Saturday, September 3.

The song was inspired by The Game’s criticism of Eminem in his song The Black Slim Shady. After the 10-minute release went public, the Back to Back artist challenged The Game to a rap battle, but The Game chose to block Stay rather than engage. Stay is seen here on stage with Real Sikh during Drake’s Till Death Do Us Part rap battle in Long Beach, CA in October 2021.

Challenge: Stay wrote alongside the video, “‘I’ve had this in the chamber for a good minute now, ready to fire if Game got brave.'” He clearly did not want to smoke. But this is too important to keep from you, so here it is.’ He then proceeded to say, “Oh, and Game (I can’t tag you because you’ve blocked me lol)… So, what’s up? I stepped into your world. Isn’t it all about the love of the game?!? ‘Let’s see if you’re really into this rap stuff. Last week, the adoring father celebrated his son Calvin’s fifth birthday on Instagram, referring to him as his “real life superhero.”

Tragic loss: The Save Me rapper sent this heartfelt birthday greeting to his five-year-old son, Calvin, calling him “my real life superhero.I adore you, I admire you. You’re a child, but I still look up to you.” You are everything I could have wanted in a son x1000. I’m constantly amazed at how fortunate I am and how unique you are. I frequently shed happy tears thinking about it and our special bond.’ On Thursday, the Save Me rapper posted a photo of himself on Instagram with the now-ominous caption, “Imagine if we treated all of our friends and loved ones as if we knew their days were numbered.’ Fans have started visiting that page to express their sorrow and condolences.
