This morning it was announced by the Boss family that father and husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ passed away on Wednesday. The ‘Ellen Show’ DJ was only 40 years old.
tWitch’s wife, Allison Holker Boss, made a statement, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” she added. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.” It was only a few days ago that the couple celebrated their anniversary.
The news of tWitch’s death has left his family, friends, and fans in shock and mourning. He was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, and his presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as they grieve his loss.
In the Los Angeles suburb of Encino at 11:25am, he was pronounced dead. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, it was confirmed he passed on due to suicide.
We hope that this tragedy serves as a reminder to look out for those around us, to check in with those who may be struggling and don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Mental health is a real issue and its effects should not be taken lightly.
In memory of Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, his family has asked that donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
