According to USA TODAY ( November 2022), Albert Joseph Brown III, also known as Al B. Sure, said his health ordeal began in July when he “began to lose feeling on the entire left side of my body” and “fell over” while working in the studio. I only remember sitting in the ER in a wheelchair and my brother, OJ Eddie F, standing next to me speaking with security,” Sure says as he recalls the accident. He wasn’t sure if he was going to make it.
A radio host representative told Entertainment Online, (November 2022), that Al B. Sure is now “making strides towards recovery” after health conditions landed him in the hospital. He recieved multiple surgeries while there as well. “I can confirm on record, that Al B. Sure was in a coma for the past two months and he is now making strides towards recovery,“ Al’s Rep shared. His family and close friends are happy and relieved to know that he will be okay. We would not have known about Sure’s health if it wasn’t for Albert Brown the IV.
Multiple social media sites shared Al B. Sure’s son’s heartfelt tribute to his father for his birthday. He thanked fans for sending happy birthday wishes and revealed that his father had just been released from the hospital. This news comes about a month before Albert Brown IV shared a post dancing with his mother, the late Kim Porter on Instagram. Some have known about his frayed relationship with his father but things were mended some time ago. It’s refreshing to see that they have pulled things together as he supports his father during this time.
Al B. Sure is an American singer, songwriter, actor, social activist, record producer, radio host, and former Motown record executive. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Brown was the most popular, handsome, romantic singer, and also one of the New Jack Swings pioneers and record producers on the Uptown record label. He has left a mark on the hearts of true R&B lovers and his music is still in heavy rotation. We are relieved that he is now on the mend and want to send our prayers to him and his family while in recovery.
